Stand Back New School!

Listing to a 1987 Vince McMahon singing "Stand Back" from the album 'Piledriver,' made me think of the Old School WWF versus today's New School WWE. Difference, well, the new school "got the 'F' out..." That was their slogan back in 2002 with the name change. Anyways... The WWF I am thinking of is the 80's to mid to late 90's WWF. Wrestling seemed real, they had a different cast of characters, some big and buff, some giants, some midgets, some fat guys, some rich guys, some International Superstars, classic guys, and so on. These days, it's all big and buffed up guys on 'roids, even though the WWE may deny such fact. Today's wrestling 'roided out wrestlers include Triple H, John Cena, Batista, just to name a few. Triple H, it isn't hard to see that he's on 'roids... He's the boss's son-in-law, he can get away with anything. Cena, look at his arms, his legs, his chest... He's only in his early 30's, and he's super huge... Batista, only thing I need to say about him is look at his neck and his popping out veins. Enough said. And today's storylines aren't believeable, unlike ten years ago and more. Today's wrestlers don't have the wrestling skills that actually make them believeable on their techincal ability. Today's wrestlers are brawlers. They don't wrestle. And if they do, it's only a couple of moves. What happened to the Shawn Michaels', the Ric Flair's, the Bret and Owen Hart's, the Jeff Jarrett's, and so on? Yes, Michaels is still around, but not for much longer, his body can't hold up for much more. Yes, Chris Jericho is around, and a few others, but how much respect do they get as top guys and World Champs? Not much, just read my blog from last week about John Cena being overrated and Jericho being underrated... This is why I dont like today's wrestling as much. If you can get a old VHS or DVD of wrestling from the mid 90's or earlier (before such), I'll be happy sitting down and watching over catching today's crap, or even lack there-of.

...Stand back new school!...

One Year Ago Today and One Day Ago Yesterday

It was one year ago today that I took the metal plane over the pond. That's where my heart and mind's at, hopefully the Ghanians give back my heart and mind back to the summer projectians that are flying high once again over there currently as I type on my keyboard, stumming away the time. People who are heading overseas or even staying stateside, let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers throughout the summer, praying that God touches their hearts, minds, and lifes, as well as changes them for the better and for His glory.

And last night was WWE Judgment Day. The only match I cared for, what a freakin' joke! Jericho should of won the Intercontinental Championship for the record setting ninth time, but didn't. The one who retained, to my sources, has a knee injury that he's working on right now! There can't be a bigger joke than such! That's why I am syaing that the WWE is screwing with Chris Jericho! Jericho demands better! Unless they're gonna continue this storyline throughout the summer and have Jericho win the title this summer... Let's hope so... And I hope that when Jericho is on Smackdown, they don't misuse him like they did on Raw... I do hope Jericho can hold the title more than a month and a half, drop it for eight days because someone was complaining backstage, win it, then lose it to a guy who was out for three months due to a neck injury. This is why today's wrestling is starting to lose a fan of over two decades...

John Cena's Overrated.....Chris Jericho's Underrated

Another wrestling blog... And a blog that I am passionate about, you can ask anyone who's watched wrestling with me any within the past year and a half. Couple of the biggest guys in the business today that are in the WWE are Chris Jericho and John Cena. These two have a storied history with one another, and it goes back to the summer of 2006 were Cena "retired" Jericho after Monday Night Raw, the night after SummerSlam, where Jericho lost the first ever "You're Fired" match, were the loser gets fired when the winner walks out with the WWE Championship and his job. Then after Jericho came back after his time off from the business, after Jericho turned heel and won the World Heavyweight title on Raw, Cena comes back from an injury, first night back, beats Jericho for the title. To me, this pisses me off. The reason is it took Jericho a good year after being away from the ring to get the World title and Cena's first night back, they give him the title, killing Jericho's build-up and the heat he was getting. Why does this bother me? I believe John Cena is overrated and Chris Jericho is underrated. Cena seems to always be in the main event picture since WrestleMania 21 back in 2005 and it seems like somethings wrong if he doesn't have the top World title around his waist. Jericho, on the other hand, never had a real chance to run with the World title. Jericho's longest reign was when he was the Undisputed WWF World Champion, but the last fued he was in as champ it turned into a Triple H-Stephaine fued with Jericho's title on the line. This kind of stuff is total bull s***! Cena's longest title reign is longer than Jericho's five put together, and add about six months. Jericho's been busting his rear end a heck of a lot longer than Cena, and has a better ring skills then Cena will ever have. To conclude this rant about how much Cena sucks and Jericho's reciving it, if I ran the WWE, Cena would be the top mid-card, nothing more, and Jericho going back and forth, having long title reigns (longer than six months) because he can have a fued with a broom stick and make it look good.

...Which is why Cena's overrated and Jericho's underrated...

Why Triple H Should Come Back As A Heel

In my personal and philosophical opinion, when Triple H comes back from his "injury" and returns on WWE Monday Night Raw, he shouldn't come back as a babyface (a good guy), he should come back as a heel (bad guy). The reasoning behind my such demand is Triple H sucks as a babyface much longer than a couple of years, and it's been couple of years since he was last as a heel. Rumors have it that Ted DiBiase is going to become face right before his movie comes out, a good way to make him a face that fans would believe is having him face Orton, Rhodes, and Triple H as his three main heels to do battle against. Personally, during writing that last sentence, I just thought of this tag team dream match. Priceless--Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes, the faces, against Evolution--Randy Orton and Triple H. With Evolution being brought back with Orton and Triple H, Batista can rejoin, and all they need is to bring Flair in as the manager, that he once was in that faction. Great way to build DiBiase and Rhodes as the new faces of Raw, new babyfaces of the company, and believeable as the future of this business, which is where they are truly lacking. Maybe another blog about this business? Maybe, just maybe. Keep your eyes posted.

Ain't No Cure To That Summer Time Blues!

Hey yo...

Summer's here and it's time to relax and enjoy the warm weather, whenever possible. All I'm up to so far is working, hanging out with those of who are left here in St Cloud, reading Bret Hart's "Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling," and getting ready to move out of my 5th Ave house and move to my apartment five blocks away. Yep, not too much of excitment, but that's the way I like it after dealing with school last week.

Catch me later, I'll be back sooner than later...

Eeeee-Ha!
